DOORS (Floor 2: The Mines) – How to Survive and Beat the Grumble

DOORS continues to terrify Roblox players worldwide, and the highly anticipated Floor 2: The Mines update completely changed the survival meta. The haunted hotel is a thing of the past; the danger is now much darker, far more vertical, and significantly more aggressive. While many players manage to survive the initial minecart sections and flooded tunnels, the vast majority are losing their runs at the infamous Door 150, officially known as The Nest.

This massive, labyrinth-like cave system is the new equivalent of the Library (Door 50) from the first floor, but it requires a totally different strategy. If you are tired of getting cornered by dirt monsters and losing your hard-earned items, here is the ultimate, step-by-step survival guide to beating the Nest in February 2026.

📡 The Objective: Anchors & The Radar System

Unlike Door 50, you are not blindly searching for books while crouching in silence. Your objective in The Nest is to locate hidden Anchor Terminals (A, B, C, and D) scattered across the two floors of the cave system and input mathematical codes to power the main bridge. (Note: If you are playing in a multiplayer lobby, the game scales the difficulty by forcing you to find Anchors E and F as well).

  • Use the Main Console Radar: The biggest mistake beginners make is running into the dark tunnels blindly. Look at the top of the main generator machine at the start of the level. There is a spinning satellite/radar dish. This radar literally points in the exact direction of the next Anchor you need to find. Follow its heading!
  • The Terminal Math: Once you reach an Anchor, you must solve a quick math puzzle on a broken screen. If the terminal needs a specific number to progress and displays a modifier (like -2 or +1), you must input the number that balances the equation. Enter the code, press the button, and immediately prepare to run back to the center room.

👹 The Enemy: Understanding The Grumble

The Grumble is a colossal, mutated dirt-monster version of the Giggle entity, and several of them patrol the Nest simultaneously. You cannot play this room the same way you played against the Figure.

  • Line of Sight: The Grumble is not blind. It relies heavily on Line of Sight. If you stand in the open tunnels, it will see you from a distance and immediately charge.
  • Attracted to Light: Grumbles are highly attracted to artificial light sources. Holding a lighter or a standard flashlight for too long will draw them straight to your location if they are roaming nearby.
  • Not an Insta-Kill: Unlike the Figure, getting caught by a Grumble does not instantly kill you if you are at full health. However, it deals massive damage and disorients your camera, leaving you highly vulnerable to a follow-up attack if you don’t run away immediately.

🏃 The “Safe Spots” Survival Strategy

Because the Grumble is massive, its bulky hitbox is its biggest weakness. The developers intentionally designed the map with areas the monster simply cannot fit into.

  • Wall Cavities & Crawlspaces: As you navigate the tunnels, constantly scan the walls for small cavities, low crawlspaces, and narrow side-rooms (often located behind the Anchor terminals). The second your screen starts shaking or you hear the Grumble’s distinct digging sound, immediately crouch and back into one of these holes. The Grumble will run right past you.
  • Beware Guiding Light Illusions: The blue Guiding Light is supposed to help you find your way, but during a chaotic chase in The Nest, it can sometimes illuminate paths that lead to dead ends. Trust your map knowledge and your hearing over the visual cues when you are actively running for your life.

💡 2026 Pro Tip: The Glowstick & Bulklight Meta

Light Management is Everything: Before you even reach Door 150, you should prioritize buying or finding a Bulklight, Laser Pointer, or Glowsticks in earlier levels (or from Jeff’s Shop). Because Grumbles are attracted to light, Glowsticks act as the ultimate distraction tool. If you are trapped in a tight corridor and hear a Grumble approaching, toss a Glowstick far down an alternate tunnel. The Grumble will investigate the glowing item, giving you the perfect window to sprint to the next Anchor. Alternatively, if you have a Bulklight or Laser Pointer, shining the high-powered beam directly into the Grumble’s eyes will temporarily blind and drastically slow it down, saving your run from a guaranteed wipe!
