Let’s be honest: Grand Piece Online is beautiful, but the leveling process is painful. If you wander aimlessly sailing from island to island, you will quit before you even reach the Second Sea.
In January 2026, the level cap has increased (again), but the “Speedrun Route” remains mostly the same. The secret isn’t just where you farm, but how you farm.
Here is the most efficient, no-nonsense path from Level 1 to Max, optimized for solo players.
🛠️ Pre-Req: The “Leveling Build”
Before you set sail, you need the right tools. Do not try to level up using a Common Sword or a trash fruit like Spin.
- The Fruit:Bomu-Bomu (Bomb).
- Why: It is cheap/common, but its Ultimate (Self Destruct) one-shots almost every wave of NPCs. It is faster than Magma for pure leveling.
- The Style:Black Leg.
- Why: If you don’t have a fruit, buy Black Leg at Baratie (Level 30). The “Party Table Kick” is a massive AoE move that clears groups instantly.
- Stats: Dump everything into Devil Fruit (if Bomu) or Strength (if Black Leg). Put minimal points into Health/Stamina. You want to one-shot mobs, not tank them.
🌊 First Sea Route (Level 1 – 325)
The goal is to get out of here as fast as possible.

| 75 – 105 | Sphinx Island | Monkey farming. They are annoying, but the XP is decent. Alternatively, stay at Baratie if you are killing them fast. |
| 105 – 160 | Skypiea (Sky Castle) | The “Golden Age” of leveling. Farm the Guards. They line up perfectly for beam attacks. |
| 160 – 190 | Gravito’s Fort | This place is hard. The gravity guards hit hard. If you have Bomu, just ult them. If not, go back to Skypiea until 175. |
| 190 – 325 | Fishman Cave | The Great Filter. This is the longest grind. Farm the Fishman Karate users. Use the “wall cheese” (hide behind pillars) if you are low HP. You MUST hit 325 to enter the Second Sea. |
Speed Tip: At Level 325, stop everything. Go to the “Universe Hub” and start the quest to enter the Second Sea (World Scroll). Do not stay in First Sea a second longer than necessary.
🏜️ Second Sea Route (Level 325 – 575+)
The Second Sea gives exponentially more XP.

| 425 – 500 | Thriller Bark | Zombie Farming. Zombies group up easily and are slow. This is the easiest grind in the game. Use AoE moves to clear 10 zombies at once. |
| 500 – 575 | Rose Kingdom (Dressrosa) | Farm the Colosseum quests or the Factory Guards. Be careful of PvP here; high-level players love to grief this island. |
| 575 – Max | Law / Boss Raids | At this point, killing normal mobs is too slow. Join a “Boss Rotation” group. Kill Law, Kill Doflamingo, Kill Kraken. Boss drops give the final push to max level. |
🛳️ Alternative Method: Ship Farming (AFK-ish)
If you have a Galleon or Caravel and a good fruit (Magma/Pika):
- Method: Go to rough waters (Deep Ocean) in the Second Sea.
- Target: Kill Ghost Ships and Sea Beasts.
- Why: They give huge XP drops and valuable items. It is more engaging than punching 5,000 bandits.
🛑 Mistakes to Avoid
- Don’t spread your stats: Be a “Glass Cannon.” If you put points into Sword, Fruit, AND Strength, you will do zero damage. Pick ONE offense stat.
- Don’t fight bosses solo: Trying to solo Enel or Gravito at the recommended level takes 10 minutes. Killing 50 mobs takes 3 minutes and gives the same XP. Only fight bosses for drops, not levels.
- Don’t forget to set spawn: GPO oceans are huge. If you die without setting your spawn at the new island, you have to sail for 10 minutes. Always click the spawn point first.
